The cloth is crepe woven by KuwanoShinken, a third-generation weaver and maker from Kurume, Japan, from cotton threads dyed in Chikugo. It has a soft, fluffy touch and a subtle gloss that’s unusual in cotton, and the padding keeps it warm while staying light and breathable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe pressed flowers are made from leftover cotton scraps from the hanten cloth itself, so they're cut from the same crepe as the coat.
