The pattern is cut from a 'Houmongi'’, a semi-formal visiting wear kimono typically worn during special occasions, family celebrations, and ceremonies. This kimono is adorned with one of the most popularly depicted flowers 'Kiku' chrysanthemum. It is an auspicious symbol of beauty and longevity and is featured on the imperial seal of Japan.

Vintage kimono. 100% silk. Spot treat to clean or bring to a green dry cleaner. May be sensitive to treatment with dry cleaning chemicals.
