I make every piece in my New York studio using slow handwork techniques—including hand-stitching, visible repair, and original silk reconstruction. I work directly with antique kimonos, reclaimed textiles, and deadstock fabrics, allowing the intrinsic character of each material to guide the final garment or accessory.

Sustainability is inherent to my process. Rather than producing new textiles, I work exclusively with existing materials—archival kimonos, vintage silks, and deadstock fabrics. By working in small, intentional releases and repurposing historical garments, I eliminate waste and create pieces meant to be worn and preserved for generations.

The hand-stitched silk flowers are a core element of my practice, serving as a study in preservation, memory, and material exploration. By shaping small silk kimono remnants into floral forms, I bridge personal memory with traditional textile heritage. Each piece gives new form to historical textiles while honoring their origin—allowing the weave, dye, and quiet past of the silk to live on.

Because I work with authentic antique and vintage silk kimonos, subtle variations, age marks, or gentle wear may be present.  These are not flaws, but part of the textile’s unique patina, provenance, and history.

Most garment and accessory releases are one-of-one pieces available directly in the shop. However, select styles—such as our flower accessory collections and custom commissions—are made to order.

Due to the delicate nature of hand-stitching and vintage silks, I recommend gentle care. Spot clean or dry clean with a specialist who handles delicate or antique garments. Each piece includes specific care guidelines.

Hand wash cold or wash on a gentle cycle inside out in a mesh garment bag. Lay flat to dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not iron directly over raised textile embellishments or silk elements.
