Each item is made from rare vintage and antique silk kimono textiles, often only enough for one or two garments. Once the textile is gone, that exact shade, weave, or pattern can’t be sourced again.
100% silk juban, 襦袢 (a traditional Japanese undergarment worn beneath a kimono to protect the delicate silk by absorbing sweat and oils, preserving the garment's longevity) textile from Japan, dating back to the early 20th century.
The original kimono seams are preserved, honoring the garment's history and craftsmanship with unique patterns that have stood the test of time.
Unisex, relaxed fit with a loose, unstructured silhouette. Shell buttons, 1930s-1960s. Raw edge detailing throughout. Each garment is cut individually by hand. One of a kind.
Size and garment measurements:
Size S: Front length 27" / Back length 31.5" / Chest 22.5" / Sleeve length from high point shoulder 30". Fits sizes S/M, depending on desired fit. The model is 5'5" and traditionally wears a size S.
