N° 134 constellation crushed blooms postcard 3
I stitch every postcard by hand in my New York studio. It’s the same constellation stitch I use on the constellation hanten and the constellation flowers, worked here in Nishijin silk thread on heavy 300 gsm paper with a deckled edge. The stitches sit around the edges and leave the center open for your message.
I place each stitch by hand, so no two cards are the same. Each one comes in a vellum envelope, ready to write on and send, or to keep.
Each flower is cut, sculpted, and stitched by hand, with hand-stitched details throughout. The shape is irregular, so no two come out the same.
Stitched with pure silk thread, the piece reveals subtle variations in tone, natural slubs, and raw-edge finishes.
*Available in any Crushed Bloom or flower color online. Please leave a note with your preferred color at checkout. The constellation thread will match the flower color unless you request something different.
