Wool pinstripe deadstock and 100% silk haori 羽織 (a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono originally designed for samurai as a practical outer layer for warmth and protection), textiles from Japan, and hand-stitched silk kimono panels. The hand-stitched silk kimono panels are meticulously assembled from repurposed scraps, with every seam and detail entirely stitched by hand, honoring traditional craftsmanship and zero-waste design.
Hand-painted yuzen-zome 友禅染 (a traditional Japanese dyeing technique using rice paste as a resist to create intricate, hand-painted patterns) silk kurotomesode kimono. This method allows for precise detailing and vibrant color gradations, featuring a sakura pattern along the wearer's right sleeve. The original kimono seams and motifs are preserved, honoring the garment's history and craftsmanship. Zero-waste design through patchwork techniques.
